Capillary Tube Mats System
Working Principle

Capillary tube mats technology takes a completely new approach and follows nature’s example. The heart of system lies in the capillary mats that contain thin polypropylene pipes through which water constantly flows.

Owing to their small diameter, the capillary tube mats offer a significantly greater heat exchange surface and they can be embedded close to the surface of ceilings, floor and walls, transforming these building components into easily adjustable cooling and heating surfaces and only require low temperature changes to have a large impact.

The transfer of energy between users and the activated surfaces is achieved predominantly using radiation – matching the natural conditions for regulation of the heat balance of all living organisms.

The capillary tube mats are made up of small thin capillary tubes and installed in a closed loop hydronic system. The mats are connected to an energy carrier which is circulating at efficient temperature, powered by a reverse cycle heat pump.

The capillary tube mat system is applicable for both cooling + humidity reduction and heating in one system.

To heat or cool rooms, hot or cold water runs through the capillary tube system to exchange heat with the space air by radiation.

With the advantage of good flexibility, the capillary tube mats can be installed on roof, wall, and floor, under the surface decorative materials, and connected to different heat energy carriers such as heat pump, gas boiler, central heating, solar energy. etc

  • Energy efficient
    Water supplied in capillary tube mats only requires 28-32℃ for heating purpose, it reduce heating energy consumption compared with the 45-60℃ request of common floor heating pipes. It has tested the capillary system can save 30-40% consumption.

    For cooling in summer, the supply water is around 16-18℃ which is much higher than the traditional air conditioner.
    It can save 50-60% energy consumption. The combination of capillary mats with heat pump can achieved the highest outputs.
